These Terms of Service govern your use of the Chicago Food Magazine online store and purchases made through it. By using the store or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to the policies linked from the store.

Store operator

The store is operated by Chicago Food Magazine. Questions may be sent to store@chicagofoodmagazine.com.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract where you live. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity under any customer account you create.

Products and availability

We make reasonable efforts to display product colors, dimensions, descriptions, and prices accurately. Displays vary, and made-to-order production can create minor differences in color or artwork placement. Products and prices can change without notice. We may limit quantities, correct errors, or cancel an order before fulfillment. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the canceled amount.

Orders and payment

An order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order but does not guarantee acceptance. You authorize us and our payment providers to charge the payment method submitted for the order, taxes, shipping, and disclosed fees.

Shipping, returns, and refunds

Our Shipping Policy and Returns and Refunds Policy are part of these terms.

Intellectual property

The store, Chicago Food Magazine name and marks, Neighborhood Series designs, product artwork, editorial copy, photography, and other original content are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the store only for personal, noncommercial shopping. No license to reproduce, sell, modify, or distribute our content or designs is granted.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the store, introduce malicious code, scrape it in a manner that burdens the service, attempt unauthorized access, misuse another person's information, or use the store for unlawful or fraudulent activity.

Third-party services

Shopify powers the store, and third parties such as Printful, payment providers, carriers, and analytics providers help us operate it. Their services can be subject to separate terms and privacy notices.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the store is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Chicago Food Magazine is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from store use or a purchase. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount paid for the order giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Chicago Food Magazine from third-party claims caused by your unlawful use of the store or material breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer-protection law requires otherwise. Courts located in Illinois will have jurisdiction unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively.
